From circles that is. :-) Did you think I was dropping out? My apologies for not getting things up on the blog to share. Sometimes life presents us with pressing issues and things like this have to get set aside. My apologies to all of you!
When life got as my daughter says 'lifey', I realized that if there was any hope of keeping up with things I would need to multi-task as many places as I could. My local contemporary group also does monthly challenges so for August I combined that challenge with this one. We were to find a seed or garden catalog and make a quilt inspired by that. I chose a page that was featuring baskets that look sort of like hay like with water saving liners. The challenge fabric is featured in the baskets.
Are the bowls filled with one tiny multi-colored print? I can't tell from the pic.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Thanks for your comments on my pieces. Yes, the baskets are filled with a tiny multi colored print. Some are collaged a bit to make them work. The fabric looked like fireworks made of teeny tiny flowers with stems.
ReplyDeleteI'm still seeing circles -- at least half-circles anyway. Pretty neat. Multi-tasking is a wonderful thing. And who among us has not had life get in the way of our art on occasion?
ReplyDeleteI agree Elizabeth! I had the same thought. And, there is some circle quilting in the other two pieces, so really these three pieces aren't such a big departure! ;-) And, at the very least I got them done. Sometimes there is a lot to be said for the act of doing and completing.
