This was very hard to get started. I had a theme picked out for this year, but it changed when the fabrics were introduced. I am using arcs in each of my pieces for this year's challenge. The challenge fabrics have been altered by color in Photoshop elements for each month. This month's color was changed to light purple. I used planned wrinkles and couching for my accent pieces.
What a wonderful surprise to find your piece popping up on my e-mail! Your quilting is fabulous and aren't you clever to make the challenge fabric any color you want!! I'll be anxious to see how your series develops as the year goes on. I'm really having a good time with mine. Susan
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan. My little corner of the world has been so topsy turvy the past few months, I wondered if I would ever get my piece started let alone completed. I invested a huge number of hours playing with and changing the colors in PSE, as well as using a huge amount of ink printing out the new fabric. I also spent many hours working up my designs in PSE so that they were the right size to print out my master copies. I think the rest of the months should be a little easier to complete because all of the 12 designs are already printed out ready to add fabric and to work on techniques. I have wanted to get back to this series for awhile now, so we will see what happens.
ReplyDeleteHad a playday with Elizabeth today and she sadi you had sent me an email, but I never got it. It may have gone straight to my junk mail. Can you please resend it? Thank you.
I love this concept of making the fabric your own. What a genius you are. The quilting on the gold fabric shows up more on the picture than in person -- lookin' good.
ReplyDeleteNice couching and satin stitching! This makes me want to see more especially since you mentioned having the other pieces designed. I wonder what comes next!?
