My apologies for the flash photos. I was gone all day today and didn't get to take photos with natural light.
This is the first time I've 'bound' a soft quilt with stitching. I've done it hundreds of times on fabric postcards. If I do it again I'll make sure the quilt is stiffer. The edges are flat for now. We'll see how it fares over time.

Sue, this has great visual impact -- it really sings to me. The quilting is perfect and adds just the right note.

Sue, I like how it turned out very much. I love the quilting. I'm glad you included close up shots- maybe we should all start doing that, being at long distance. Susan
ReplyDeleteI love the background color on this piece-it is very rich. The hardware is very cool. are they buttons or drawer pulls? I think all your pieces have a little circular thing going--not just the under the wire theme:)
ReplyDeleteYes, Linda they all have the circular thing going on. I dyed the cloth myself. I'm glad you like it. The metal pieces you asked about are from a different challenge packet. The person I got them from said she bought them on Etsy. That's all I know about them. The tiny metal pieces are jump rings that I had squirreled away in a drawer.
