Here I am - only my sceond month in the Challenge, and I'm LATE! I started one piece and was not happy. So, I started all over with this piece. Includes raw edge freehand applique and lots of heavy background quilting with Silk thread in a matching color. You couldn't hardly see the quilting and I was depressed! So, I used Shiva Paintstiks and lightly painted over the quilting. I really like the effect of this and will try to do more in the future. Yet, I still think it lacks something, so if you have any thought or suggestions, please feel free to comment.
I love it! The paintstick colors really pop the stitching. The flowers are very central--maybe a partial flower along the edges would give a suggestion of scattered flowers everywhere. the colors are yummy!
