I tried a little of everything this month. First I painted the fabric with alcohol ink. Then I stitched sari salvage pieces into one flower, then felted another flower and left. I used Texture Magic to create more texture and interest. Some more top stitching to create my flower garden. If you could see my perennial garden you would understand the mix of different flowers is just my way.
The Challenge is to create one piece of art each month for one year. Each piece of art must measure 20" x 11" and can be oriented vertically or horizontally, and must contain a piece of the challenge fabric. Post a picture when you've finished each piece & blog about it. Tell how you used the challenge fabric (in case it isn't obvious).

Bobbie, this is very bright and cheery. It doesn't look anything like it started out. I very much like the slanted lines of the original fabric showing through all the colors. It adds an extra layer of texture on the piece. And the flowers do look like your flower beds in the yard:)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this one in person Bobbie. It's hard to see where the texture is (from the texture magic). I like the garden -- it definitely feels garden-y. Is the challenge fabric the bright flower in the middle?
