The Challenge is to create one piece of art each month for one year. Each piece of art must measure 20" x 11" and can be oriented vertically or horizontally, and must contain a piece of the challenge fabric. Post a picture when you've finished each piece & blog about it. Tell how you used the challenge fabric (in case it isn't obvious).
This is interesting. I really like the pieced background -- it has a lot of movement. And you know I love the zens. So my question is this: are the zens transferred on, or drawn directly onto fabric? Or did you use some other "Linda Magic"?
I drew 12 zentangles on cardstock for another piece. I had pieced the background using Susan's challenge fabric last month. I knew I wanted to use it, but it just looked like the first base surface of a piece to me. I got a new zentangle quilting book and did a 12" piece that wouldn't fit on the background piece without destroying the background, so I decided to transfer the small quartiles onto printed fabric and do another stitched and quilted one for next month's challenge. I will bring the reject tomorrow.:)
